India’s Tiea Connectors raises Rs. 77 crore in Series A led by IvyCap

Tiea Connectors said on Tuesday it has raised 77 crore rupees in a Series A round led by IvyCap Ventures, as the technology-driven manufacturer looks to scale production and expand into higher-growth markets in India and abroad.

Jamwant Ventures, 8X Ventures and several high-net-worth angel investors also participated in the round, the company said.

Tiea, which makes high-performance interconnect and contact solutions, said the new capital will be used to expand manufacturing capacity, strengthen research and product engineering, and accelerate automation and technology integration. The company is also targeting growth in sectors including electric mobility, aerospace, defense, avionics and other advanced technology applications.

Founded to build globally competitive interconnection technologies from India, Tiea has positioned itself as a partner to original equipment manufacturers that need precision components for mission-critical applications. The company designs and manufactures connectors, contacts and integrated connectivity solutions for environments where reliability is critical.

The funding comes as demand grows for high-performance interconnection systems, driven by electrification, intelligent mobility and supply-chain diversification. Tiea said it plans to use the investment to deepen its engineering capabilities, broaden its product portfolio and expand its international presence.

“This investment marks a significant milestone in Tiea’s growth journey,” co-founder Ajith Sasidharan said in a statement. “The funding will enable us to significantly strengthen our manufacturing, engineering and innovation capabilities.”

IvyCap Ventures said the company stood out for its engineering depth and focus on precision manufacturing.
