From Startups to ISRO: Bengaluru Space Expo 2026 to Spotlight India’s Space Rise

India’s rapidly expanding space ecosystem will take centre stage at the 9th Bengaluru Space Expo (BSX) 2026, scheduled from September 7–9 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), where organisers are preparing for the largest edition in the event’s history.

Organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with ISRO, IN-SPACe, and NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), this year’s expo has already confirmed 200+ exhibitors, with participation spread across two exhibition floors within the same hall, significantly expanding the event’s footprint.

The three-day event will feature dedicated pavilions from ISRO, IN-SPACe, and NSIL, alongside country pavilions, a Start-up Zone, and leading space companies from India and abroad. Delegates from 20 countries are expected to participate, with dedicated country sessions featuring Australia, Italy, Japan, and the United Kingdom.

The conference programme includes 120+ distinguished speakers representing ISRO, IN-SPACe, NSIL, the Ministry of Defence, industry leaders, startups, academia, and international organisations. The agenda comprises 11 plenary and thematic sessions, launch of CII publications and reports, and facilitated business-to-business (B2B) meetings aimed at fostering partnerships across the global space value chain.

Highlighting India’s long-term ambitions, V. Narayanan, Secretary, Department of Space, Chairman, Space Commission, and Chairman, ISRO, said: “Our space programme isn’t just about rockets and satellites; it represents the dreams of millions of Indians, propelling India as a global space power.”

With strong international participation and an expanded exhibition format, BSX 2026 is expected to reinforce Bengaluru’s position as India’s premier space industry hub while providing a platform for technology showcases, policy discussions, commercial collaborations, and the next phase of India’s journey as a leading global space power.
